But with Windows 11, the app is integrated by default and many users aren’t comfortable with the same.

Microsoft has changed the taskbar icon position in Windows 11 from left to center. You can not easily remove this chat icon easily by right click on it or using the hide from taskbar option.
Follow these steps to hide the Teams icon in Windows 11.
Step 1: Right-click on the taskbar and then choose taskbar settings.
Step 2: Turn off the option besides Chat under Taskbar to hide Microsoft Teams.

Step 1: Right-click on the taskbar and then choose Taskbar settings.

Step 4: Select Advanced Option from the available options.
Step 5: In the Microsoft Teams app settings page, find Let this app run in background options below the Background apps permissions option.
Step 6: Choose never from the list to stop Microsoft Teams from running in the background.

When you download and install Windows 11, the Microsoft team comes preinstalled. But if you are not using it then it is better to disable it. Here is a step-by-step guide to temporarily disable the Microsoft Teams app in Windows 11.
You can disable the Microsoft teams app for your current session.
Step 1: Find Microsoft Teams in the taskbar system tray and then right-click on it.
Step 2: Then choose the kill option from the list to stop Microsoft Teams app for your current running session.
When you start Windows 11, you noticed that Microsoft Teams starts automatically in the background. You can prevent any app from starting and running in the background.

Step 2: Then select Startup in the right sidebar.
Step 3: In the Startup settings, find Microsoft Teams from the list and turn off the toggle to remove it from startup apps.
This will block Microsoft Teams from starting automatically when Windows starts.
You can also use the task manager tool to disable Microsoft Teams from starting when Windows starts, Here is how:
Step 1: Open the Windows task manager tool using CTRL + SHIFT + ESC keys on your keyboard.
Step 2: Then go to the Startup tab and find Microsoft Teams.
Step 3: Then right-click on the Microsoft Teams app and then choose Disable option at the bottom.
This will block Microsoft Teams services from starting automatically when Windows starts.
If you don’t want to use Microsoft Teams and want to remove it completely from your PC, follow these methods.
Step 1: Open Windows 11 Settings with Windows + I button on your keyboard and then click on Apps in the left sidebar.
You can also search for Settings in the Windows 11 start menu.
Step 2: Then select Apps & features in the right sidebar.
Step 3: From the list of apps, find Microsoft Teams. You can also search for it using the search bar.
Step 4: Click on the Teams app > click on the three-dot icon and then choose to uninstall to remove the app.
Step 5: Then again select uninstall to remove the app.
Step 1: Open Windows 11 Start Menu with the Windows key on your keyboard and then search for Microsoft Teams.
Step 2: Right-click on the Microsoft Teams from the search result and then right-click on it.
Step 3: Choose Uninstall from the list of options to remove the app.
Step 4: Confirm your decision to uninstall Microsoft Teams.
You can use PowerShell commands to remove Microsoft Teams app in Windows 11.
Step 1: Open the Windows Start menu with the Windows key on your keyboard and then search for PowerShell.
Step 2: Select the Run as administrator option in the right sidebar.
Step 3: If asked, click on yes to continue.
Step 4: You have to run this command and press enter in the PowerShell.
Get-AppxPackage MicrosoftTeams* | Remove-AppxPackage
This command will delete Microsoft Teams from your Windows 11 computer forever and you won’t be asked to chat with your friends using MS Teams!
