How to Change Screen Resolution on a Windows 11 PC

Check and Change Screen Resolution from Settings

Windows 11 settings include all the settings related to Windows OS. You can basically customize your entire OS using settings.

If you want to change screen resolution then follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to Windows 11 settings with Windows + I button on your keyboard. You can also access it from the start menu. Just open the start menu with the start button on your keyboard and then search for settings.

Step 4: In the display settings, scroll down and find the Display resolution option under Scale & layout.

Step 5: Click on the drop-down menu of Display resolution to check all available screen resolutions for your screen.

Step 6: Select the new screen resolution for your display and click on Apply. The change is immediate and you can see your new screen resolution. When you change it, you will see an alert message. You have to select if you want to keep the new changes or you want to revert new changes.

How to Change the Size of Text and Icons in Windows 11

If you want to change only text size icons then you don’t need to change your screen resolution. You can directly change the text size in Windows 11. Here are the steps for it.

Step 1: First open Windows 11 settings with Windows + I button on your keyboard or use the start menu search.

Step 2: In the settings, find and click on the system option in the left sidebar.

Step 4: In the display settings, find the scale and layout option.

Step 5: Then find and select the Scale option to extend custom scaling settings.

Step 6: Here you have to provide a number for scaling. The default screen scale percentage is 100%. If you want to make your icons and texts bigger then increase the value. Otherwise, decrease it to make texts smaller.

Do not decrease or increase resolution by a big number. Go with 2-3 smaller or bigger numbers.
