How to Fix NVIDIA Driver Not Working Issue

If you are using a PC, follow these steps and check for all physical errors on your computer. You will need to clean your internal hardware and graphic card. You have to remove all dust.

Method 1: Clean dust from desktop PC

Step 1: First of all, turn off your computer and then disconnect the power cable.

Step 2: Remove the side door of your PC cabinet.

Step 3: You have to use a pressurized air-like blower to remove the dust from all the internal components. Take extra care with processors, graphic cards, or motherboards.

Step 4: Also remove dust from the processor fan and graphics card fan using compressed air.

Step 5: After cleaning, connect the computer with power. Keep the computer open while testing.

Method 2: Cleanly Install a Stable NVIDIA driver

Step 1: First, you have to uninstall the NVIDIA driver with Display Driver Uninstaller Application (DDU). This tool will remove the driver from your system.

Step 2: Regular uninstallers for NVIDIA software could leave some files behind in the registry. DDA can be used to uninstall the software completely.

Step 3: To download DDU, use Google search and then download it.

Step 4: After the download is complete, extract it on your PC.

Many users think it is good to reboot the PC in safe mode before running the DDU cleaner. However, most of the users haven’t experienced any issue with DDU in normal boot mode. So it is up to you.

Step 8: If you want to reboot in Safe Mode, close the notice.

Step 11: Open the start menu and then search for Change Advanced Startup Options.

Now you will be navigated to the Windows boot options. Follow these steps to boot into safe mode.

Step 13: Once you restart your PC, you will see troubleshoot options.

Step 14: Then click on Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.

Step 15: Again in the safe mode, open the DDU app and then choose NVIDIA driver and GPU from the list.

Step 16: Now click on clean and restart.

Step 17: Once your computer restarts, your old NVIDIA drivers will be removed automatically.

Step 18: Now go to NVIDIA’s official website and download the latest driver.

Step 19: Use the search option and find the correct driver with the model number.

Step 20: Now download the driver and install it.

Step 21: Once installed, restart your PC and see if you are facing the same error or not.

Method 3: How to Uninstall NVIDIA Driver using device manager

Step 1: Press the Window key + x to pop out the Power Use Menu.

Step 2: Go to the Device Manager from the list.

 Step 3: Once you click it and the manager opens, find the NVIDIA driver.

Step 4: Right-click on the driver.

Step 5: There will be a pop-up catalog. From the list, choose “Uninstall.”

Once it’s over, restart your pc to see if it fixed the error.

Method 4: Use 3rd party Driver Updater Tools

If you don’t want to waste time downloading and installing NVIDIA drivers manually, then you can use driver updater tools like Driver Easy and Driver Talent. These driver updater softwares will scan your entire system and update all required drivers on your Windows 10.

All you have to do is just install any Driver updater tool and scan your PC.

Once the scan is completed, click on Update All.
