A driver is very important for Windows operating system as it acts as a communication layer between your OS and hardware device. You have to install a driver for all 3rd party devices, including keyboard, mouse, webcam, WiFi adapter, and graphic card.

You can easily install drivers on your Windows 11. Here are the steps to install WiFi drivers.
If you just installed Windows 11 using the clean installation then you will need to install drivers manually.
Step 1: First, you need a driver setup file to install it. First of all, you have to find the correct driver for your WiFi device. Most of the manufacturers have official websites from where users can download the latest version of WiFi drivers.
Step 2: Once you download the driver, double click on it to start installing the driver on your Windows 11.
There are many tools that allow you to install the latest WiFi drivers. One of the popular driver tools is Driver Easy.
Step 1: First download DriverEasy on your computer.
Step 2: Then open it and click on Scan. It will scan your computer for all pending updates.
Step 3: Once done, click on Update or download all. This will download all pending drivers including the WiFi drivers on your Windows 11.
If you are using Windows 11 then you don’t need to worry about this. Because Windows 11 update will automatically update the latest version of all drivers including your WiFi driver. Windows 11 gives a new way for users to download and install new updates. The new application features and updates available have made it easier for users to access all the important applications and have a new way to access all the important updates for the operating system itself. So first install all pending updates.
Step 1: Navigate to the Windows 11 setting app using Windows + I button on your keyboard.
Step 2: Find and click on the Windows Update from the left sidebar.
Step 3: Select Advanced options in the right sidebar.
Step 4: Here find Additional options and then click on Optional updates.
Step 5: Your OS will scan the system and check for all pending updates. If you see a WiFi adapter, select it and then choose Download & install.
If prompted, restart the PC after the driver is installed or updated for the changes to come into effect.
This step is the final step, reboot your system, and it should be good as new! You can also update your old WiFi drivers using Windows updates.
If you don’t want to waste time downloading and installing WiFi drivers, then you can use driver updater tools like Driver Easy and Driver Talent. These driver updater softwares will scan your entire system and update all required drivers on your Windows 11.
All you have to do is just install any Driver updater tool and scan your PC.
For this article, we have used Driver Easy, which is a free tool to download and install basic drivers.
Step 1: Download and install Driver Easy on your PC and then open it.
Step 2: Click on Scan Now to start scanning.
Step 3: Once the scan is completed, click on Update All.
It will start downloading and updating the new WiFi driver.
If you are already using the WiFi driver on your Windows 11 then you have to update it. Because Windows 11 is not compatible with old Windows 10 drivers.

To install a new version of the WiFi driver, you have to first remove the old WiFi driver.
Step 1: Press the Windows key on your keyboard to open the start menu and then search for device manager.
Step 2: Click on the Device Manager from the list.
Step 3: Once you click it and the manager opens, locate the WiFi driver.
Step 4: Right-click on the driver.
Step 5: From the list, choose “Update.”
Your system will check for available updates for that WiFi driver. If any update is available, Windows 11 will automatically download and install it.
Once it’s over, restart your pc to see if the system fixed the error.
If you are facing issues with your WiFi card or your WiFi is not working then you can reinstall your WiFi driver. Here are the simple steps to reinstall the WiFi driver on your Windows 11.
Step 1: First open device manager. To do this, open the start menu and then search for devmgmt.msc. Press enter.
Step 2: In the device manager, find and expand the Network adapters.
Step 3: Right-click on your wireless driver > select Properties. Then click on Driver Tab.
Step 4: You have to note down the Wi-Fi adapter name and driver version.
Step 5: Click OK to close the Properties.
Step 6: In Device Manager, click on View > Devices by the driver to list down all the devices by drivers.
Now find the driver you noted in step 4 and right-click on it.
Select Remove driver and select Uninstall.
Now restart your Windows 11 and go to Settings > Update.
Your Windows 11 will automatically find and install the required driver.
