Different Methods to Take a Screenshot on Windows 10

Method 1: Use Print Screen Button

The first method to take screenshots in Windows 10 is using the Print Screen button. You can see this button on your keyboard’s right side beside the F12 button. This is the simplest method to capture a screenshot on your Windows 10.

Step 1: Make sure that the screen that you want to capture is open. Then press the Print Screen button on your keyboard.

Step 2: Now open MS paint from the start menu and press ctrl + V to paste the screenshot.

Step 3: You can see your screenshot in MS paint. Now press ctrl + S to save the screenshot on your desired location.

Method 2: Windows + Print Screen

In this method, you have to use the Windows + Print Screen button. It will automatically save your screen to the screenshot folder in the Picture directory.

Step 1: Make sure that the screen that you want to capture is open. Then press the Windows button + Print Screen button on your keyboard.

Step 2: The screen will blink for a second. It means your screenshot is saved. Now go to the C:\Users\Rahul\Pictures\Screenshots folder.

Or you can open file explorer and then select Pictures from the left side window. Then click on the screenshot.

Microsoft Windows comes with a built-in tool called Snipping tool that allows you to take a screenshot of your screen. The advantage of using this snipping tool is, that you can select the part of your screen. To use Snipping too, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the start menu using the Windows button.

Step 2: Search for “Snipping Tool” and open it.

Another feature that you should try out in the Windows 10 Snipping Tool is using the shortcut key combination Ctrl+Space instead of the mouse. With the shortcut key combination, you won’t have to hold down the control button before using the snapping tool. To download and use the LightShot tool, follow these steps:

Step 2: Then install it like other software.

Step 3: Now open the start menu and then search for Lightshot and open it. When you click on LightShot in the start menu, it will enable in the taskbar. Click on the Arrow button in the taskbar right side and then right-click on the Lightshot.

Step 5: You can see many options here to edit your screenshot. There are many options to share your image. Also, you can save your screenshot to cloud storage.

You can set the custom key pair to LightShot. To do this, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open LightShot from the start menu. Then go to the taskbar and click on a small arrow and then right-click on the LightShot icon.
