Method 1 – Using GUI to install Brave Browser on Ubuntu 22.04
This is the easiest method by which you can install Brave Browser on Ubuntu Machine. Follow the given steps which only require some clicks here and there to get your desired Brave browser installed,
Search for Ubuntu software on your App menu and click on the first result.
Click on the search button located at the upper left corner and search Brave. Click on the first result that came up.
Click on Install Button. You will be asked to Enter your password. Enter your password and it will start the process.
That’s it Brave has been installed on your Ubuntu System without involving any complex steps.
Method 2- Using Snap pack in Terminal to install Brave on Ubuntu 22.04
If you are familiar with Terminal, this is going to take only one step for you to install Brave Browser on your Ubuntu Machine.
sudo snap install brave
Ubuntu has out-of-the-box support of Snap packs which enables you to install available software in a single command.
Note: This is only applicable if you are running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or Later.

Method 3- Installing Brave as an official Guide
This process will require a few commands on the terminal but ensures you have the latest version of Brave Browser because we are downloading it directly from their Repositories.
sudo apt install apt-transport-https curl
This command will install curl and allow apt (Official package manager of Ubuntu) over HTTPS
sudo curl -fsSLo /usr/share/keyrings/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg
This will add Brave repository Key to your Ubuntu Machine
echo “deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg arch=amd64] https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/ stable main”|sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release.list
This command will add Brave Repository to sources.list.d
sudo apt update
It updates indexes of all the Repositories that we currently have installed on our System.
sudo apt install brave-browser
It will install Brave Browser to your System.
Uninstalling Brave Browser from Ubuntu 22.04
If you are not satisfied with brave, you can easily remove it from your Ubuntu System. We will show you 3 different methods to uninstall Brave which heavily depends on which method you chose to install in the first place.
Method 1 – Uninstalling Brave using GUI
This method is only applicable if you have followed the first or second method which we have shown you previously for the installation process.
Open your Ubuntu Software and search for Brave. Select the first result.
Click on the Remove button. You will be asked whether you want to remove it or not so click on remove again. Enter your password.
Method 2 – Uninstalling Brave from Terminal (For Snap version)
This method is also applicable if you chose the 1st and 2nd methods to install Brave Browser.
Open your Terminal and run the following command:
sudo snap remove brave
That’s it. Brave has been removed from your system.
Method 3 – Uninstalling Brave from Terminal
This method will be only applicable if you went with 3rd method to install Brave Browser. Use the following command:
sudo apt remove brave-browser
