Why Xfinity Shows Error Code APPS-04033? Here’s the Answer!

Be it internet or digital TV cable, Xfinity is the most trusted service provider in the USA. Amidst Covid-19, staying at home has become a norm and you definitely need a lot of entertainment programs to spend your time. It’s frustrating when you’re in the middle of something and an error code APPS-04033 pops-up in Xfinity on your device!

The error code thing is not new these days as the Disney Plus users continuously seeing error code 83 even after 8 months of its launch. Xfinity hasn’t faced any such issues in the past (of course for a long period), these errors like apps-04033 are just a temporary ones.

The issue is because of the glitch in Xfinity app and the error code APPS-04033 is mostly seen in the streaming apps like Prime Video, YouTube etc.

A lot of users have complained about this issue on Xfinity forums today evening (19th July, 2020). The apps do open but as soon as they open any of the apps it gives error APPS-04033.

Even if you try the system refresh, that may not fix the problem as the root casue if the Xfinity app itself as stated by the Xfinity agent on their forum.

As per the reports, the streaming app is being updated and you could soon see the error go away once it is fixed! It’s a nationwide issue as there are plenty of users on forum complaining about getting the same error code on their devices.

Most of the Xfinity users getting this error are using smart Roku TV. So if you’re one of them and looking for a quick fix, you need to wait for some time or might be even few days until the Xfinity technical team fixes the issue.

Possible Fixes for APPS-04033 Error Code!

These fixes aren’t recommended by the Xfinity experts but these are our own views based on the previous experiences. Give them a try at your own risk.

#1. Restart Your Device!

Irrespective of the device you are using, simply try to restart it and see if it works for you. Many a times, a simple restart can solve the issue.

#2. Change your IP Address!

This is one of the best ways to fix any issues. In order to get a unique IP address, you need to purchase a premium VPN. With this, you’ll get a fresh IP address which can solve the issue.

Of course, these fixes are just for temporary problems but if you don’t want to wait for the officials to fix the issue, you can go ahead with trying the above solutions.

If the error APPS-04033 isn’t solved even after following above guide, then you need to wait for the Xfinity team to fix it. There’s no way out in such cases!
