Where is the pictures folder on a MacBook?

The answer to this question is depends on your current macOS settings. If you have downloaded images from the Internet via browsers like Safari and chrome, it is located in the Downloads folder of your Mac.

You can easily change these settings from your browser. If you are using Safari, then go to preferences settings in Safari and change the download location.

If you are using Photo Booth to take images, then you have to look into the Photo Booth Library folder. Follow these steps:

Finder > (From the menu ) Go > Home > Picture > Photo Booth Library.

You can see all your Photo Booth images here. If you want to move this folder to the Finder’s favorite folder, follow the same process described below.

How to Find Pictures Folder on Mac

Step 1: First of all you have to open the Finder app from the Dock.

Step 2: Once Finder is opened, go to the menu bar at the top of the screen > click on Go.

Step 3: Now click on the Home button on the list. You can also use Shift+Command+H on your keyboard. It will open a home folder.

Step 4: In the home folder, find the “Pictures” folder. Double-click the icon to open it.

Once you find it, you can add it to your sidebar. To do this, click and drag the Picture folder to the “Favorites” section of the Finder sidebar.

When you hover over the sidebar, the folder icon will indicate where you can add the Picture folder. As soon as you’ve positioned the indication where you want, release the mouse button. It’s done.

Now the picture folder is saved to your finder sidebar forever.

You can also use “Finder” > “Preferences” in the menu bar to add a picture folder in the finder favorite section.
