If your WSA is not working properly in Windows 11 then you have to reset it to fix problems. You may need to redownload Windows Subsystem for Android on your Windows 11 PC.
In this article, we are going to share how you can fix WSA not working in Windows 11 issue by resetting subsystem options.

Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) allows you to download and install Android apps on a PC that is running on Windows 11. Previously, it wasn’t the case in Windows 10 as we had to use several emulators like Bluestacks, Nox, etc to run Android apps on PC.
Microsoft has enabled users to run Android apps in Windows 11 with Windows Subsystem for Android feature. Microsoft has created a complex framework for running Android apps on Windows 11.
That said, there are a lot of users who keep complaining that WSA isn’t working as required on their respective Windows 11 PCs. So to ensure that you make the most out of WSA, here’s a quick guide on how to fix the issue! Give it a try and let us know if it fixed the issue at your end!
We’ve shared multiple ways through which you can easily fix WSA not working issue on your Windows 11 PC or laptop.
If you are using a VPN connection then disable it. Sometimes VPN can cause issues with the WSA.
Step 1: Press Windows + R button on your keyboard to open the Run command tool.
Step 2: Then type this command in RUN and press enter.

Step 3: This command will open a new window. Here you will find a list of all programs installed on your PC. Select the VPN software installed on your PC and right-click on it.
Step 4: Choose Uninstall to remove the VPN app from your computer.
Step 5: Restart your PC.
While there isn’t any concrete information as to VPN affecting the WSA but it’s always better to be safe than sorry by disabling it before using WSA on your Windows 11 PC.
Step 1: Press Windows + I button on your keyboard to open Windows 11 settings and then go to Apps.
Step 2: In the Apps, go to Apps & features and then search for Windows Subsystem Android app.
Step 3: Click on the Repair button.
Let the Repair process complete. This shall repair the PC if there are any bugs or issues within the system. Once done, restart the WSA app.
Step 1: Press Windows + I button on your keyboard to open Windows 11 settings and then go to Apps.
Step 2: In the Apps, go to Apps & features and then search for Windows Subsystem Android app.
Step 3: Scroll down and then find the reset button.
Step 4: Click on the reset button and restart your PC.
Restarting a PC is the best way to solve any issue that exists on your PC. Be it fixing the mobile hotspot that’s not working or the touchpad scroll, restarting the PC can fix such issues at a glance.
Step 1: Press the Windows key + R to open a new Run box, then type this command and hit Enter.
MSI-windows-store:
Step 2: This will open Microsoft Store and then go to Library.
Step 3: Now click on Get updates to update the entire Microsoft Store Framework including WSA.
This will surely fix WSA’s not working issue as it resets the framework from scratch. But if the issue still exists, you can proceed to the one last fix.
Step 1: Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app, then click on the Windows Update option from the left panel.
Step 2: Then click on check for updates to download the latest available Windows updates.
Step 3: If any update is pending, click on download to install new Windows 11 updates.
This will now download and install any new updates that were pending and will probably fix the WSA issue on your Windows 11 PC.
