Whenever your PC runs out to the space, you will be informed with one notification at the right-bottom corner named “Low Disk Space.” You will be notified frequently by this message until; you don’t perform any operation regarding this. If you are also facing this irritating message, we have come up with easy methods to resolve the low disk issue in Windows 11.
Finding a solution to the Low disk space issue should be your priority over any other problem if you ever encounter it. However, if this trouble occurs in your operating system drive (Local Disk C), we recommend you to mitigate it in a trice. Because it has been observed that some software may not work properly if there is insufficient space in the system drive. Also, there are fair chances of crashing the system.

Here we have derived to get the appropriate solution if your disk is full in Windows 11. Follow any of the below-mentioned methods.
#1. Launch the Run menu by pressing “Win Key + R” and search for REGEDIT.
#2. After opening the Registry Editor, follow the below-mentioned path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
#3. Here, on the left panel right click on the Policies folder and select New and Key.
#4. Now, change the name of the recently generated Key with “Explorer.”
#5. Again, right-click on the Explorer key and opt New in the pop-up menu.
#6. Here, opt for DWORD(32-bit) Value.
#7. Change its name with “NoLowDiskSpaceChecks.”
#8. Now, double click on the “NoLowDiskSpaceChecks” to change its settings.
#9. You will see one pop-up box named “Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value”, in which under the Value data section type “1”, which indicates “Disables Low Disk Space warning.”
#10. Press the OK button to save the changes.
Restart your PC or Laptop, and check the notification persists or not.
As we know, the majority of the apps and programs, from small to large sizes, are all located in the C drive by default. Consequently, it is understandable that the chance of C drive of getting full is very high. So, it would be better to relocate those files to another drive and keep the spare space.
#1. Open the run menu by pressing “Win key + R” together on your keyboard.
#2. Here, search the “ms-settings:appsfeatures” and click on the OK button.
#3. Now, you get a list of every App and program which are available on your device.
#4. When you click on those Apps and programs, you will get one option named Move, opt for that option.
#5. Now, you will see one pop-up on the screen, where the current location of that particular app and program is mentioned, and also one option will be available named “Select a drive to move this app to:” along with a drop-down menu.
#6. Choose a particular drive from the drop-down menu where you want to move your app.
Repeat this process for other apps as well to move them to another drive.
To stop this frequent irritating notification of “Low Disk Space,” you can perform disk cleanup. This will not only enhance the space in your drives but also make your laptop or PC faster. It means it can improve the performance of your Windows 11 as well.
#1. Open the Start menu, then type “cleanmgr,” and confirm it.
#2. Here, choose the Cleanup System Files option.
#3. And, Press “OK” in the Drive selection section.
#4. After a few minutes, you can see the default option “Disk Cleanup for (C:) Window.”
#5. Here, select all the checkboxes, which you want to remove from Files to delete the section.
#6. Click “OK” and press “Delete Files.”
Restart your laptop now.
If you do not want to perform any of the above-mentioned procedures, some alternatives are also available. Using that you can, you can mitigate this trouble.
#1. First and foremost, we recommend you to move your data from the drive, which is full. For that, you can move to another existing hard drive that has sufficient space. And if all hard drives have insufficient storage, then you can go for the second step.
#2. If all your internal hard drives have insufficient storage, you can choose external hard drives (HDD or SSD). You can purchase such external drives at a very affordable price. We will recommend you to purchase HP P700 1TB Portable External SSD or Seagate Portable HDD. Or you can also take the help of cloud storage services.
#3. The last option is to uninstall the unnecessary programs. There can be many available programs available on our PC or laptop which we haven’t even used once for a long period, or they are not required. So, it will be helpful if we remove it.
