How to Fix 0x8007045d Error Code in Windows 10

To fix the 0x8007045d Error Code, it is essential to first free any locks to the device or driver with which the Operating System needs to communicate. In other words, it is essential to fix driver issues.

First, restart the system as the system needs to make a clean and restart to fix the 0x8007045d Error Code. Note that this error code also has a specific meaning for each device. Thus, if system restart is not working for you then follow these advanced troubleshooting steps.

Solution 1: Install Windows Updates

It is always recommended to keep your device updated with the latest Windows 10 updates. When you see this error code, restart your system and then try to download all pending updates.

Step 6: Right-click on your USB drive and then choose Properties.

Solution 6: Try a Different USB Port

Try to connect your USB to another USB port. Sometimes your USB port stopped working and thus you won’t be able to copy or move any data to your drive. Also, try to connect your USB drive to another computer if you have one. If your USB drive is working with another computer then the issue is with your USB port or USB drive.

Solution 7: Update and Fix USB drivers

USB drivers are crucial for the functionality of the USB flash drive. However, it’s a challenge to download the drivers for Windows 10 and install them for your flash drive at the same time because they are designed for a single USB port. Many users have commented that updating the USB driver can fix the issue. To update your USB drivers, follow these steps:

Step 1: Launch the Device Manager using the Start menu. Search for the device manager and open it.

Step 2: In Device Manager, navigate through your USB devices connected to your computer. To do this, expand the universal serial bus controller and find your USB driver.

Step 3: Right-click on it and then choose Update Driver.

You have two options here.

  2. Browse for Driver
