Follow these simple steps to reset and clear the pending printer queue in Windows 11 so that you can print new documents again.
Step 1: Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run command box.
Step 2: Now in the run command box, type services.msc command and press enter. This command will open the services window.
Step 3: In the services app, find the Print Spooler service and right-click on it.
Step 4: Then, Click Stop from the context menu as shown below.
Step 5: Once the Printer Spooler service is stopped, open file explorer with the Windows + E button on your keyboard.
Step 6: Now here copy and paste this address in the address bar.
C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
Step 7: Click on the Continue button if asked for permission.
Step 8: In the new folder, press CTRL + A to select all files and then press SHIFT + DELETE to remove all the files permanently.
Step 9: Once done, navigate back to the services app.
Step 10: In the services, find Printer Spooler service > right-click on it.
Step 11: Find and click on the Start button to start this service.
Step 13: Close both File explorer and the Services window.
First, try to restart your Windows 11 PC. Sometimes due to pending restarts or bugs and glitches, you can face issues like this.
Also, try to download and install the latest Windows 11 update. Most print spooler errors and problems are often fixed by installing new Windows 11 update.
Update your Windows 11 apps and also update printer drivers for Windows 11.
You can also use Windows 11 built-in troubleshooter to fix print queue issues. Open Settings > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters> select Run besides to printer to start the Printer troubleshooting process. This will take some time to scan your PC and find the problem. Once done, apply the fix and then restart your PC to fix the issue.
Also, make sure that your Printer is connected to your PC. If you are using a wireless connection then check the network.
