Have you ever faced the frustration of trying to juggle your iPhone and Windows PC at the same time? Bouncing between devices can be cumbersome, interrupting your flow and overall productivity. I use my Macbook at home and my PC at work. OSX’s design, simplicity, and usability (and the Apple ecosystem as a whole) made a big rounded whole, which often felt uncomfortable to me when contrasted with Microsoft’s operating system. However, with Windows 11, especially the leaked features of 12, the Redmondians are starting to bridge the gap between the two operating systems. Although OSX is still beating Windows in some areas, the adoption of Phone Link is another milestone in the life of hybrid users.
The possibility of connecting your iPhone to your Windows 11 PC was a long-awaited feature among users, and now our time has come. For my part, I would expect a bit more customization in the application. For example, the email notifications pop up completely unnecessarily since all my PCs have mail programs configured.
But what I really like (and reminds me of OSX – which is fine) is that I can reply to text messages without even opening them. It makes it extremely convenient to talk, all without being so distracted from work.
