GTA 6 launch trailer shows intimate moments between Jason and Lucia

GTA 6’s launch trailer shows Jason and Lucia’s intimate moments, heists and prison, with Lucia still wearing an ankle monitor.

Lucia is still wearing an ankle monitor as she shares a shower with Jason in Rockstar’s official GTA 6 launch trailer. The minute-and-a-half video mixes their intimate moments with heists, prison and an unexplained military discharge.

Released 35 days before Grand Theft Auto 6 arrives, the trailer offers another look at Leonida and Jason and Lucia’s relationship. They kiss and push each other against a bathroom wall, with Lucia’s monitor a visible reminder of their legal troubles.

Elsewhere, Jason receives a call from Lucia while he’s in prison. He reveals that he was discharged early from the army, though he doesn’t say why. The action includes a variety of heists, some surprisingly high-tech: Polygon compares Jason’s gear to equipment from a Call of Duty game.

The shower sequence is less explicit than the unauthorized footage previously reported in the Lucia leak and Jason leak. Those clips show both characters walking completely naked around the city, complete with jiggle physics, while NPCs don’t appear to comment on it. That lack of response has led some people to speculate that the leaker used developer tools to display nudity. Whether playable portions of the finished game will mirror that footage is still unclear.

There is nudity in the official trailer, and game ratings say GTA 6 will feature sex scenes. Based on early previews and this trailer, however, Polygon’s assessment is that those scenes appear framed to keep the characters’ private parts out of view. The leaks don’t confirm that players will have the same options.

Rockstar also revealed that the trailer’s soundtrack includes the debut of “Flower in a Hurricane,” an original song by Justice. The game’s original score features artists including Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The reveal follows Rockstar’s earlier preview of the open-world game’s radio stations.

GTA 6 releases on Nov. 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
