While the Series 12’s design mirrors that of the Series 11, it comes in two sizes—42mm and 46mm—and boasts substantial upgrades in health tracking. Its advanced optical and electrical sensors, combined with energy-efficient green LEDs, now measure heart rate every five seconds.
The Audio Intelligence feature detects sounds like sirens and doorbells, while the Live Rewind function lets users quickly read a summary of the last 15 seconds of conversations with a simple double-tap of the Digital Crown. Apple emphasizes that no audio recordings are retained; the S11 chip processes audio securely and deletes data immediately after use.
Battery performance is impressive, with standard usage lasting up to 24 hours and extending to 38 hours in power-saving mode. A quick 15-minute charge can yield up to 12 hours of use, and a completely drained battery reaches 80% capacity in about half an hour. The aluminum models now feature Ceramic Shield 2 glass, which Apple claims is 60% more durable than the Ion-X glass used in earlier versions.
In Hungary, the retail price for the Apple Watch Series 12 is set at 169,990 HUF, with pre-orders already underway. Users will need at least an iPhone 11 and iOS 27 to access the full range of new features. The ceramic design returns after a seven-year hiatus, available in pearl white and deep navy.
