Unitree’s H2 humanoid robot is now available in Hungary, with prices starting at HUF 16,990,000 including VAT. According to INFUZE Robotics, Unitree’s official Hungarian representative, it lets Hungarian university research centers and corporate development teams test their own robotics and AI solutions on a full-human-size robot in workplaces designed for people.
The source report describes the H2’s world premiere as a significant milestone for robotics research and development and industrial automation.
The H2 stands 182 cm tall and weighs around 70 kg. It has six degrees of freedom in each leg, seven in each arm, three at the waist and two at the head. These allow walking, turning and bending that approximate human movement. Its bionic face also evokes human facial features.
From motion control to artificial intelligence
The H2’s developer versions are intended primarily for university and academic research, as well as corporate innovation projects. Researchers can test motion-control algorithms on a physical robot, experiment with reinforcement learning and develop coordinated use of both arms. The platform also supports development involving remote control, or teleoperation.
Developers can study how AI models operate and directly test how perception of the surroundings connects with the robot’s movement and object handling. A wide-angle binocular camera built into the head and an optional LiDAR system supply data for perception development. LiDAR’s three-dimensional sensing also enables autonomous navigation and mapping experiments.
According to János Körömi, managing director of INFUZE Robotics, the H2’s arrival gives Hungary access to a full-human-size, high-performance humanoid development platform. He points to practical tests for Hungarian universities, research institutions and corporate development teams: reaching a work surface, grasping and moving objects, and coordinating both arms. Testing on the robot in environments designed for people allows developers to account for human-scale distances, heights and object arrangements.
From demonstration model to AI development platform
The Unitree H2 is available in three main configurations. H2 Basic is primarily for technology presentations and movement demonstrations. H2 EDU Standard also supports development of users’ own robotics solutions, with access to a software development kit, or SDK, and a separate onboard computer for running user-developed applications.
H2 PLUS Smart has the most computing power in the range. It comes factory-equipped with an NVIDIA Jetson Thor module and 128 GB of memory, providing the capacity to run larger AI models locally without a continuous cloud connection.
The EDU Standard and PLUS Smart can also be fitted with different robotic hands. Options include simpler grippers and three-fingered and five-fingered hands with touch sensing, allowing developers to work on more complex object manipulation and two-handed tasks.
The robot’s structure uses aerospace-grade aluminum, titanium alloy and high-strength engineering plastics. Peak torque is specified at 120 Nm for the arms and 360 Nm for the legs, while each arm has a nominal load capacity of approximately 7 kg. The smart battery provides around three hours of operation. Motion-control algorithms can be expanded through wireless over-the-air, or OTA, updates, allowing the robot’s capabilities to develop further after purchase.
For Hungarian customers, INFUZE Robotics provides sales, help choosing the appropriate configuration, system integration, commissioning and operator training. Beyond research and development, the H2 can also be used in technology demonstrations, events and corporate presentations.
