Hungarian language packs for Samsung’s Galaxy AI are expected to be available to download on October 27, according to Mobilaréna. The rollout covers Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter and Transcript Assist on compatible Samsung devices. Not every feature arrives at once: Now Nudge’s Hungarian support is expected to follow in the coming weeks.
Samsung announced the Galaxy AI and Bixby language expansions in a press release. Adding Hungarian and Malay brings Galaxy AI’s supported language count to 24. The original announcement gave only a rollout window of the coming weeks; Mobilaréna later reported the more specific expected download date.
Call Assist will support Hungarian for real-time translation of phone conversations, while Interpreter can help people communicate face to face across languages. Note Assist already offered some functions in Hungarian, and this update expands that support. Transcript Assist is aimed at people who regularly sit in on meetings, lectures or interviews.
Once the language packs are available, you can install them through the phone’s Settings – Galaxy AI menu. You won’t necessarily need Samsung’s latest flagship to use the additions: Galaxy AI is also available on numerous earlier devices, including the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series. Feature support can vary by model, though.
Hungarian support is also coming to Now Nudge, as Player.hu reports. This smart assistant tries to work out what you might need from the content on your screen. If you’re arranging a meeting in a message exchange, for example, it may offer to add the event to your calendar rather than doing so automatically. Its Hungarian version is expected to arrive later, in the coming weeks, rather than with the language packs.
Bixby, Samsung’s own virtual assistant, is getting Polish, Thai and Vietnamese support, bringing its total to 12 languages. Hungarian still isn’t on that list. That means full Hungarian voice control based on natural speech is still missing.
