Grand Theft Auto 6 will reportedly arrive on Windows PC in the first quarter of 2027, according to four anonymous industry sources. GamesBeat reported that the sources are familiar with Rockstar’s plans, but Rockstar hasn’t confirmed a PC release.

According to GamesBeat, the PC version is expected “within the first three months of 2027.” GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19, 2026. Rockstar famously keeps PC gamers waiting because it prioritizes console launches first for its games, so a PC launch a few months later would be quicker than the wait for some of its previous games.
Grand Theft Auto 5 launched on consoles in September 2013, then arrived on PC in April 2015, more than a year and a half later. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s last brand-new single-player game, took a year to reach PC after its console launch.
Fans have long assumed GTA 6 will get a PC version, though Rockstar hasn’t announced one. Recent changes to the company’s modding guidelines have added to that speculation, but don’t confirm a release plan.
A PC launch might not be GTA 6’s only notable release in 2027. When Rockstar opened pre-orders, it described the game as a “single-player experience,” prompting questions about a possible online component. Last month, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy told Bloomberg that the platform would see a big bump in viewers “next year when [Rockstar] launch[es] multiplayer.” Rockstar hasn’t officially commented on an online component for GTA 6.

Rockstar has kept GTA 6 details under wraps, while a hacking group called Cyberleek has circulated leaks. The group recently posted videos showing protagonists Jason and Lucia naked in the game, then tried to use the attention to promote its memecoin. That effort backfired.
