1. Halo: Combat Evolved web browser port
Someone has successfully brought the original Xbox version of Halo: Combat Evolved to a web browser, complete with multiplayer and split-screen support. Software developer Mitchell Hynes is behind this project. He shared on X that this version accommodates up to 128 players and includes split-screen co-op gameplay. Currently hosted on a Cloudflare-powered site, it features the original Xbox release of Combat Evolved, not the less favorable PC version from Gearbox. In an impressive display of interest, 20,000 players accessed the web browser port in its first five hours.
