Microsoft Announces Windows 7 Mobile-Windows phone

We have covered up a leaked screenshots of windows mobile 7 and features few days back. It was believed that Microsoft will announce about its latest mobile OS at Mobile congress conference. It will be known as “Windows phone”.

With the release of Google’s android mobile, apple’s ipad and other competitors mobiles release it was essential for Microsoft to live up to regain their image as a power house. Microsoft has partnered windows phone hardware with Dell,Sony Ericsson, LG,Samsung,Garmin-asus.

Features of Microsoft’s windows 7 mobile-Windows phone

There is a huge development in interface. It is build from the ground and it is different from previous versions of windows phone.

Zune kind of interface is provided. Music video will be provided by zune.

Homescreen has two pages. Left page is called “Live tiles” where your apps shortcut is installed. On the right page all the available and installed apps is stored. You can easily flip between pages and navigate to your favorite application.

Windows phone hubs contains 6 different hubs specifying different activities. “People” contains live feed from social networking, pictures and life of a specific people from the Internet. People can easily update facebook and windows live with one click.

Games hub lets you experience XBOX games on windows phone, You can play live XBOX games,see users profile details, avatars and interact with them.

Marketplace hub will take you to the marketplace and lets you experience the legal apps from Microsoft store.

Office hub will bring onenote, sharepoint and office in windows phone. From there you can easily edit,create,read and share the documents easily.
