Twitter Mobile Wapsite Got Make Over With More Features

Twitter being one of the most popular social media network was missing an edge over other social media network when comes to the mobile version of the web site.Today morning when I opened my twitter account from my mobile I got shocked to see the new makeover of twitter mobile web site(wap site). So far twitter mobile wapsite was not one of most attractive wapsite in the Internet world. It was a very simple look with minimal functions.

I did check mashable and some other popular social websites to see whether they have covered the news or not and surprisingly it was not published over there. There is no official announcement about twitter mobile web site version update from the twitter as well ,but it will be available soon.

There are few new features added to the new version of twitter mobile wapsite. The latest wap site API has 4 new tabs in the top menu which contains “Home, mention, favs, msgs” tabs which was missing in previous version. Apart from that popular topics or current trend is also shown at the bottom of the page like twitter homepage. The look and feel is more like a twitter web site.

You can also see that the avatar of the  author is shown in the mobile version of twitter which was missing in the previous version. You can turn off the images manually if you want to. “What’s happening?” is attached to the top of page which allows a user to update his status without leaving the page.

Update: I see that “Reply” ,”Retweet” and “Add To favorite” options are also added to each tweets which makes it easy to retweet and reply to follower’s tweet more easy. The look of the new mobile version of twitter is similar to web version.
