No matter how good or bad the twitter is, it has got some limitation of its own. There is no doubt that when it comes to micro blogging twitter is the most reputed and widely used service among bloggers, market gurus and all. But as being a micro blogging tool it is next to impossible to share our videos, pictures and files with the friends. This post is a part of twitter tools series
Twitter is an amazing place to meet like minded people. We have already come across some services like twitpic, tiwtvid which lets you share images and videos with your twitter followers. How about sharing a file? Yesterday, I come across such amazing twitter tool that lets the user to share the files with their followers.
Twitter file sharing
Twitfile is a service that lets you share your favorite file on the twitter with your followers. The maximum file size limit is 200MB which is far better than other competitors. It also lets you write 110 characters message(remaining characters are used for file url).
If you are already a twitter user then you do not need to create a separate account to use this service. Twitfile is also supported by few twitter clients. You can post your file through the mobile, through their API and through third party client as it is supported by many applications.
Note: If you do not trust third party applications then you should read “[how to] Restore hacked twitter account” article as it will helps you to restore your hacked twitter account. It also shows how to block access to all the third party applications (in case if you don’t trust them).

I’ve always used Mediafire or Rapidshare to upload files, then tweet the link. It takes time and effort, this new service is quite awesome. Hope TweetDeck will include this service soon.

Mediafire and rapidshare or other file hosts are really good. You can also earn some money by uploading the content there but the problem with these services is time constraint and download limit. I haven’t tried rapidshare for a while now but I always hated it as it doesn’t support download manager.BTW thank you for your first comment here.
Thats why I am waiting for Google wave.
Thanks
TC
Cool concept. However, I can’t imagine sharing files with any of my followers, let alone all 4k of them!

I know that it is not useful for everybody. If you are an application developer or designer this concept will help you a lot. You can also use some other file hosting services which offers you some money when they download your files
