Google Analytics For Mobile-New Google Lab Feature

Google has launched new service which provides the same analytics features to the mobile users. Google mobile analytics for mobile SDKs provides an interface to the mobile users to track the user activities like in Google analytics for desktop application.

The Google analytics mobile SDKs is currently available for iPhone, android usres. It provides two standard way of interaction to the users

Pageviews: Pageviews includes number of visits, time on site, bounce rate and other various factors about users activityon the web site.

Events: Users can also define some additional events to the Google analytics mobile application. Events not related to pageviews can be tracked from here i.e. number of downloads, view of embedded video, button clicks etc.

Now, that’s one cool google feature there. Goes to show that Google is never resting on its laurels (being the #1 search engine presently), more so that Bing is on its tail and gaining speed.

This also gives me motivation to finally go ahead and buy myself a new shiny Iphone. :)

Good to know! Although I think I can wait for a few hours to check my analytics on a desktop computer :D It’s not really something that is so urgent. But I guess if you are travelling a lot, this can make a difference

I read about this yesterday. Google Analytics for mobile looks promising. The problem is, if I get it, I’ll never be able to do anything other than watch my sites’ stats when I go out.

Well, I am not fond of google analytics for the prime reason that it is not realtime. Therefore I don’t think any special reason to make it available on cellphones!

WHullaa!! I can check my status on my mobile even I am not at the desk, during shopping, while running on my treadmill. Now I can analyse while taking bath ( I have waterproof mobile).

yea ! I have lot of collection of cell phones. Every new feature makes me to buy new one. Now your article makes me to use it for an additional half an hour for checking my traffic in the bathroom.

Yea I currently handling 3 websites while doing my other part-time works. This is the reason why I need to do something outstanding in the bathroom. Neelmoney.com is my new blog,so checking traffic anywhere is essential .
