Listiti lets you create a Google alert of tweets according to the keywords. All you have to do is to either create your own list or follow the tweets of some famous blogger of your niche. Check out the screen shots to see how I created an alert of “SEO” keyword to check out the latest buzz in SEO world.

So basically there are two ways to get an email alert of targeted tweets. One way is to enter the list name like “ricky709/friends” and the second way is to create a google alert for specific user name i.e “ricky709“. If you want to receive alert of all the tweets from a specific user or list then leave the keyword field blank i.e. instead of writing SEO leave that field blank.

I know you might be worried about the number of alerts you get per day but it is still not known to me to how to control number of tweets from a specific tweeps or list (that is why I recommend to use gmail only). One thing I would also like to mention here is that you will get an hourly update from the listiti so you do not have to worry about frequent emails from it.

I guess you are taking it wrong. It will help you to get the email alert of specific keywords. It works like a filter system.
I already use google alerts to monitor some keyword but i did not know if it can work for twitter too.
