  7. I had an Imation thumb drive before and it comes with its own password protection and secured partition space. I dont know if this is standard with IMation drives since I only had one a year ago.

      @Sean
      Well protecting the USB drive with password is not a new trend. I am not sure whether it started with Imation or not. BTW thanx for stopping by :smile:

  8. I’m gonna check this out. I once used some application that do these same things, I forgot its name. It did work quite nicely. The thing that made me uninstall it is that my anti-virus software keeps complaining about some virus that, I found through the forums, was somehow related to the application.

    Hopefully, this Cryptainer or TruCrypt will prove to be as good without the virus connection.

  10. Hey, that’s the one. Folder Lock. It creates a file that you can not delete. It may not be a virus but my previous anti virus software considers it suspicious and it keeps popping up its message of distrust :) which really becomes annoying. Eventually I uninstalled it. I also changed anti virus.

      Folder lock is one of the best paid software. I doubt that it has got virus. It must be one of your file. Good to hear that you’ve changed the antivirus. I prefer to use kaspersky or microsoft security essential.

    I have downloaded windows password key 8.0. It is a very quick and useful utility for resetting passwords. It not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password.
    Just an easy to use bootable CD/DVD . It can also be used on a USB Flash Drive. http://www.lostwindowspassword.com/

    I’ve been using for quiet some time Rohos Mini Drive – it’s also free and easy to use.
