[How to] Stop Yahoo From Tracking You

How many of us are really reading the “Privacy Policy” of any website or email service?

It is a human nature to trust the big names; we usually click on “I agree” button without reading the privacy policy of any company (I am also doing the same thing).

When I thought of creating a privacy policy (and copyrights) for my website I visited few famous few websites tracks their visitors.

What is Beacons?

Beacons are the electronic file which tracks the users website behaviour by accessing the cookies stored in the user’s PC. Different service provider targets their users according to their website behaviours like which page they are visiting often or which ad they are clicking more based on the data stored in cookies. They will map the user’s behaviour and target him with certain ads.

How Yahoo works?

Yahoo uses Beacons for their own and the partner of Yahoo networks.

The information recorded by web beacons is used to personalize your web experience. The information may include demographic usage and it I used for auditing purpose or for their partners.

How to opt-out from that?

If you are not interested in allowing web Beacons then you can manually opt-out from the service. You can opt out options applies for browser you use. If you are signed in to your account then this settings will apply for your account regardless of the browser you use. Check out the images for better idea.
