Yahoo messenger is the one most popular messenger.I have got multiple email ids on yahoo(one for personal use and other for normal use ).The main problem is it doesn’t allow to login with multiple yahoo id’s 
.It was really frustrating when I couldn’t chat with my friends and family members simultaneously.Below is the simple method to use multiple yahoo id at a same time.
Follow these steps carefully :
Make a back up of your registry before doing any change to the registry.
Goto Start -> Run -> Type regedit,hit enter
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Yahoo->pager->Test
On the right pane:Click right and choose a new Dword value .
Rename it as Plural.
Double click and assign a decimal value of 1(It means that it will allow multiple ids at the same time).
Now close registry and restart yahoo messenger.For signing in with new id open another messenger

Good way to make most of the Yahoo messenger. If guys don’t know how to play with Registry.. they can just download and run a regedit file.

I use trillian as well as pidgin.
Both allow multiple logins to multiple messangers all at once
